"A success conscious mind functions rapidly and effectively." - Napoleon Hill
Sensei Poage and I constantly train and study the martial arts, and the philosophies that go along with it. We truly believe that we create our own successes (and failures) by the way we think, act and treat others.
What we give thought (energy) to, we draw into our lives. We also believe this for the students in the dojo. Martial artists can sometimes have the hardest jobs. We feel a lot of pressure and have much to prove. It's a hard pill to swallow if we mess up.
However, we have the ability to be as 'great' as we would like by setting our intentions and then taking action. Even when we get into a 'rut' we can pull ourselves out by using simple and effective strategies to get us back on track. That is the true foundation of martial arts.
Bruce Lee, one of the greatest martial artists in history said, "If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them."
